Rosalie was in surgery for about eight hours today and she did great. The nurse called Mark hourly to give reports, and at the very end Dr. Perry came out smiling. According to him, the entire surgery team fell in love with her. He believes that he removed all of the tumor; however, we will not know that until we get another MRI tomorrow. He and the pathologist are fairly certain that this is a medulablastoma tumor (which is malignant), but nothing is certain until we get the pathology back. This means that chemical treatment will probably be necessary. But let‚s pray that it won't be.

She is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit right now and is in good condition. She's connected to million different machines - I've never been so thankful for technology. But through the wires, she looks like Rosie.

Your prayers have helped bring us through this surgery. And now we‚ll just take it one day at a time. Keep her in your thoughts as we go into this next stage.
