Yesterday was a multi-tasking feat for Rosalie. It seemed that every medical team wanted "in" on the anesthesia. Pediatric surgery placed the Broviac. Oncology did a lumbar puncture (spinal tap). Neurosurgery removed the sutures. Audiology did a hearing test (BAER). And mom (that's me) clipped her fingernails. Go, Rosalie!
Last night Rosalie's hands seemed to come to life. Mark said, "What's this about? You get a Broviac, and suddenly you can move your hands!" Rosalie chuckled. She isn't about to paint a Rembrandt or anything - but she was definitely touching everything around her.
Meanwhile, Susannah has been happy as a clam with my parents and our amazing friends who have parceled out the day shifts. We love you guys!
