Rosalie continues to make progress in PT/OT and Speech. Her greatest accomplishment this week was her interest in food. She met her goal of eating one ounce of food each day. As you know, an ounce is not much at all - but it's a good start!
She had a kidney test (GFR) to determine if the Cisplatin has been negatively affecting her kidney function. The results show that everything is running the way it was before chemo - so they will continue with the same dose of Cisplatin in rounds three and four.
Next week she has an audiogram (chemotherapy can affect hearing), an MRI, and a lumbar puncture (spinal tap).
She is still neutropenic, but her blood counts are on the rise, so she should be ready for the round three of chemotherapy next weekend as planned.
