Round Four

Tuesday's lab showed that Rosalie's neutrophil count was back to normal, so we were admitted to the hospital yesterday for round four of chemotherapy.

I couldn't help but feel sad when we left for the hospital knowing that we were going to "knock her down" yet again. She had been feeling better and it showed through her laughter, appetite, and willingness to play.

Rosalie received Vincristine and Cisplatin last night at UCSF and then she will get Cytoxan tonight. Cisplatin is the chemo that Lance Armstrong called the silver bullet of chemo. It worked for him. Go chemo, Go! Get that tumor out, out, out!

Good to hear that you can go back to the fight against the tumor!
Kisses and huggs to Rosalie, with the hope this round won't be too hard on her.

One more round down ... that means fewer to go. Hang in there and keep fighting.

Carolyn, My mother just forwarded your blog. I've spent the past two hours catching up on Rosalie's adventures. What a strong beautiful little girl. It sounds like you have the best medical team, husband and family you could ever wish for in such demanding circumstances. Good Luck and keep up your positive energy! -Erica Franz
