Virus

Rosalie has a stomach virus called rotavirus. It is a very common virus that causes diarrhea. They say that this is the virus that spreads through day cares and preschools. It is actually really good to confirm this news because now we know the source of the fever. Her antibiotics have been discontinued (since her bacterial cultures have come back negative) and now we just have to wait until she is afebrile and drinking enough fluids to remain hydrated. Our earliest discharge will be Wednesday.

The good news is that Rosalie seems to be feeling much better despite the diarrhea and fever. The bad news is that she is on contact precautions so she isn't allowed out of the room. A little claustrophobic, but she is fine.

Let's hope this virus goes away soon!

Strange, we are so far apart, but schools and older people in Oak Ridge/Knoxville got sick with this virus too!
It takes some times to recover
Best wishes to Rosalie, hope she drinks well her water.
