Yesterday was the groundbreaking for the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital at Mission Bay. The children's hospital is currently on three floors of the medical center at Parnassus. They have outgrown the space and will soon have their own, freestanding facility down in Mission Bay.
I have been lucky enough to serve on the Family Advisory Council to the hospital where we have been giving ongoing feedback to the architects of Anshen + Allen. The new structure will be a state-of-the-art facility serving children and families of Greater Northern California and beyond. Directly next to the Children's Hospital will be the UCSF Women's and Cancer Hospitals at Mission Bay, a focus near to many of our hearts.

Check out Teddy on the UCSF website. You'll see him featured right underneath a photo of San Francisco's first lady and little Montana Newsom. Too bad that Teddy and Montana were actually attending different celebrations :) Montana was at the VIP event on Tuesday. Teddy and I were at the plebeian celebration on Wednesday. If they had been there together I just know he would have stolen a kiss. Please ignore the clementine in Teddy's mouth. At least a clementine is ORANGE - GO GIANTS!!!
Go Giants! Go Giants! Go Giants! Go Giants! Go Giants!
