A Google calendar has been created to manage visits with Rosie as well as dinner drops for the Reibel family. A link to a read-only version of Rosie’s Google Calendar has been added to this site (see right). You won’t be able to add a calendar event from this link. If you would like to sign up for a dinner delivery or a visit, here are instructions how to do so…
Creating a Google Calendar Account and Finding Rosie’s Calendar

1. Click on the link in the title of this blog entry or go to Google Calendar (www.google.com/calendar)
and register for an account
2. Once your account is activated, search for the public calendar Rosalie Reibel. To do this, simply type Rosalie Reibel in the search text box located in your Calendar Menu box under Other Calendars
3. Add Rosalie’s Calendar to your account by clicking the Add Calendar button
Adding an Event to Rosie’s Calendar

In order to modify Rosie's calendar, one of the adminsitrators (myself or Sarah) will need to give you editing rights. Send an email to myself (julie@julieingle.com) or Sarah (sarah@heathceramics.com) with the email address you used to register with Google Calendars and we'll add you to the list. Once authorized, you'll need to:
1. Click on ‘Create Event’
2. Type in event information
3. Under calendar, make sure you select Rosalie Reibel. Because Google manages multiple calendars, many people overlook this step and consequently their entry doesn’t show up on Rosie’s calendar.
4. Set a reminder for yourself so you won’t forget!

Could you put up another post to the blog that gives a little more information about dinner and/or sleepovers? How much food to bring, what Carolyn & Mark like to eat, when to bring dinner, sleepover times, etc.
Also, I'd love to visit during the day, but I don't want to show up when Rosie is in physical therapy. Can you add her physical therapy times to the calendar?

I seem to be having some difficulty posting to the calendar. Even though I have Rosalie's calendar checked, when I try to add an event, it only adds to my calendar and the event never seems to show up on Rosalie's calendar. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
What a great idea! We live on the East Coast and would love to do a dinner by having a prepared meal delivered to them. (For all the others from afar, it looks like planetorganics.com has good stuff and delivers to SF. There's also always just ordering from one of their favorite restaurants that deliver in the city.)

I'm having the same trouble as "anonymous" down there - it appears that the calendar was created in a way that allows us to SEE the events on the calendar, but not create them...
Any chance the settings can be changed to allow us to get on and add events (or am I just a tech dummie?)?

Regarding adding an event to the calendar, make sure you are selecting Rosie's calendar in the drop down box located in the 'add an event' screen. It doesn't matter if you have Rosie's calendar checked on your calendar homepage. That only controls which calendar(s) you are viewing. Also keep in mind that if you have your calendar and Rosie's calendar selected for viewing your going to see all of the events combined. Try that and see if it solves the problem.

Regarding long distance food delivery, it's definitely doable. Waiters on Wheels is a local delivery service that works with many great SF restaurants. See their website at: http://www.waitersonwheels.com/.
Planet Organics is a great service but only delivers produce and groceries, not meals. They are not home preparing meals much, but perhaps a fruit delivery would be nice for some fresh, healthy snacks.
More Google Calendar Troubleshooting Tips
I can't save events...why?
This may happen if a setting in third-party firewall software, pop-up blocking and ad-blocking software, or browser plug-ins conflicts with Google Calendar. If you believe software installed on your computer is preventing you from using Google Calendar, we suggest adding "www.google.com/calendar" as an exception to any ad-blocking, script-blocking, or pop-up blocking rules. If that doesn't help, we recommend disabling the software, clearing your browser's cache, and logging in to Google Calendar again.
Additionally, you may need to lower your browser's security and/or privacy settings. We also recommend adding "www.google.com/calendar" to your list of accepted sites. Once you've made adjustments to your browser, clear your browser's cache.
