Round Three

Rosalie's white blood cell count (specifically her neutrophil count) is not high enough to start round three of chemotherapy tonight as scheduled. It was on the rise last weekend, but then took a dip as the week went on. We hope we will be able to begin the round within the next several days.

Rosalie had another swallow study on Friday which showed that she is swallowing liquids very well. They tried the "soft chews," but she just pushed all the chunks to the front of her mouth and spat them out. This time we had the radiologist hide behind the machine and we put all the food in the cups of her tea party set. She still wasn't too pleased with the situation, but she was calm enough to get the study done.

Lumbar puncture results should be back on Monday. Under the microscope it looked fine, but I believe the final word comes after they determine the cytology.

Susannah can't wait for her big sister to get home.
