PET/CT this afternoon

Rosalie has a PET/CT scan under anesthesia this afternoon. This is a new procedure to us. It will take an hour and a half.

We are crossing our fingers that Rosalie doesn't get too cranky from not eating all day. She is having an "arts and crafts adventure" with her babysitter Saraly right now. We think this will help her stay entertained and happy.

The results of this scan may not be conclusive - we may still need to do the bone biopsy. But the radiologist was emphatic that we should not skip right to a bone biopsy. She said the PET/CT is far less invasive and that it will not be a full body CT, so the amount of radiation she gets from the CT will be as minimal as possible.

Love and prayers to sweet Rosalie!
